Hello, my name is Ericka and I am addicted to American Horror Story.
Well I finally did it: I started watching American Horror Story. I started it Monday night and I'm already on episode 11 of season 2.... I've never had Netflix before to be able to do this, but Deidre lets me use hers because she's amazing. But it's kind of consuming my life. I don't want to do anything other than come home and watch it. So far my favorite season is season 1 but I'm really excited for Coven. That might be one of the reasons that I obsessively watch it. I do need to go and get some work done today though... and I might (hopefully) be going to Las Justas. I just need to find a ride. But My friends have all been obsessed with American Horror Story and telling me that I need to watch it, so I finally gave it a chance. So I don't think I'll be doing too much until I watch all of the seasons on Netflix. I'm going to force myself to go to the library today and read though. I still have to read those 2 books and do the essays. I think tomorrow I'll work on my presentation for my history class since the library isn't open. Well that is if I can force myself to focus instead of watching American Horror Story.
But Las Justas. For those of you that don't know, Las Justas is a school-wide competition between universities that happens each year in Puerto Rico. I'm not too interested in the sports aspect, but there is also a giant party that happens after wards that takes up about 10 blocks. This year it's happening in Ponce and I really want to go because I've been hearing about it from my friend, Adriana, since about December. Since I keep hearing so much about it, I figured that I have to experience it. I only plan on going for one day though. I don't think I'd be able to handle any more. I just need to find a ride.

But this semester has been absolutely insane! I learned recently that Cayey is actually one of the toughest schools in Puerto Rico. Well that explains all of the homework and why my classes are so difficult. I got my first C on an exam and I was actually very happy because it meant that I didn't fail... It's so weird for me to not be getting stray As. It's so easy in the states. Not here. Although I'm also taking classes that I'm not very good at to begin with. But I found this little drawing that someone did
and I found it so hilarious because it is so true! Whoever did this is awesome! My biggest fear here is failing and in some classes, that is a scary possibility. My biggest fear is my grammar class and my Latin American History class. I'm doing well in my history class but we have a presentation that I'm scared I won't do well with. I guess I'm also a little worried about my literature class because the final sounds hard and I don't have time to read all of the books that he wants us to read. I mean, I'd have a lot more |
time if I stopped watching Netflix but I just need time to relax as well. I know after I finish them that I will get on track again. But at least this school has a sense of humor. Well, if that's what you would like to call it. Wednesday there were cows on the loose on our campus. It was quite confusing, and I still don't know what they were doing here or how they got it, but they were only there for like an hour. This looks like something you would more easily see in Wisconsin. I felt at home. Although these aren't the same kind of cows that you'd see in Wisconsin. Either way it was still kind of a comic relief to my day. People kept posting pictures of them in other parts of campus as well so I guess they were moving at a pretty steady pace. I shouldn't be surprised anymore because we see all different kinds of animals here all the time. |
But I should get ready so I can go and be responsible in the library.
XOXO Ericka
