And That Was All She Wrote...
¡Voy a regresar pronto!

So BuzzFeed finally did it! I've been looking for videos of people trying Puerto Rican food since I got here. The couple that I did find were just the candies, but now there's one for actual food! I've had all of these and a ton more. There hasn't been much that I haven't actually liked. So here's a little video for you all about some of the different foods that they have here. I've never seen that version of rice and beans, and they usually call it 'arroz con abichuelas.' The 'rellena de papa' is something that I actually really wish that they served in Wisconsin because it is actually one of my favorite things here. Mofongo and tostones are also a favorite. In the video he mentions that the plantains are a bit dry. To help with that, we usually eat them with mayoketchup.

Check out these super cool (and super true!) BuzzFeed articles about Puerto Rico!

Channel 6 TV Studio
Sorry for any of the blurry pictures, the rooms were pretty dark. I took a TV production class this fall and absolutely loved it! Turns out my High Priestess is a TV producer so she showed us around the studio that she works at. It was so amazing to be able to see everything that we got to do in class, being done in an actual studio. Our studio at school is a real studio but it's definitely not as big as this one. Plus I got to meet some pretty famous Puerto Rican entertainers.
Since I just had my last ceremony with this coven for awhile, my High Priestess, Cuqui, gave me these as a going away gift, and as a way to remember and be protected by the coven. She got me this owl case and an owl bookmark. The owl is the protector of the coven. She also gave me this broom that they had made in another ceremony that they had had. One of the symbols drawn on it is that of an owl and then it also says Puerto Rico. I'm not really sure what the other symbol is on it though. And then there is of course the pentagram. I am excited to go home and continue my learning and practicing of Wicca. The broom will definitely become a part of my alter. I just have to find pretty much everything else for my alter. But I am going to miss everyone so much! They were so open and accepting of me; I finally felt like I belonged somewhere. Cuqui even wants to hold an initiation ceremony for me when I (hopefully) return in December. This is where I would "officially" be initiated into the religion and I even get to choose the name in which I will be practicing. I even think I have one picked out already. I can not thank everyone enough for what they have showed me and taught me! My heart is filled with so much light and love now <3

My First Wiccan Ceremony: Litha
